This is a video taken from my offseason after having been released and trying to figure out why I could throw the ball 400+ feet as well as 100 MPH on a Pulldown but couldn’t break 92-93 on the mound. This is actually a very common problem that I get asked about a lot and as you can imagine it’s very frustrating. It’s frustrating because you know that your arm strength is where it needs to be but you’re just lacking a few pieces to be able to transfer this to the mound. This is why I’m such a huge fan/advocate for Long Toss and also Pulldowns because you teach the body/arm to move efficient to express maximum power output. The next phase is blending that onto the mound.
